SOLUTION SPOTLIGHT
Patio Heaters & BBQ
The Problem
Patio heaters and shared barbecue spaces can consume tremendous amounts of energy if left on unattended, or when used unauthorized. Unsecured access can also create fire and injury hazard.
The Aminiti Solution
For use of your energy-intensive amenities, Aminiti lets you manage who, when, and at what cost. Simply install the hardware, and use our management portal to make your equipment work according to your rules.
1
Install an Aminiti device to control power or gas to your heat source or barbecue. Any work on gas or high-power appliances must be performed by a licensed contractor.

2
Use the Aminiti web app to create QR signage to enable users to activate the amenity. (Your users can still use the Aminiti app to activate without a QR code.)

3
Choose which access control requirements to impose.
For specific users and groups, set "Allow Only Certain Users" and choose "Setup Groups" to add user email addresses. Added users will receive an invitation to create an Aminiti account, and from then on will have access to the amenity until you revoke it.

Extras
Aminiti offers many other features that help manage heating amenities. Here are just a few:
Enable passcode access for a user group. This will allow you to share a passcode with users who may not wish to sign up for an account. Anybody you share the passcode with will have access until you revoke it.
Set time limits, reducing energy waste and unattended operation.
Set operating hours so that the amenity can only be activated during certain times.
Collect payment for public access. Set fees based on duration, or by session. Users pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card.
Installation Methods
Aminiti is flexible, and there are several ways to integrate our hardware with your appliances. Here are just a few:

Use Aminiti to control a natural gas or propane valve for BBQ and fire pit installations. For 120V solenoid valves, simply plug the valve into an Aminiti Q16 plug-in module located in a secure enclosure near the amenity. Or, use an S16 wire-in module to control power to standard normally-closed gas shut-off devices.
