SOLUTION SPOTLIGHT

Campsite Power

The Problem

Today's campers expect power sources at their campsites, but managing access creates administrative headaches and requires on-site staff.

The Aminiti Solution

Aminiti gives your campers self-serve access to power pedestals, either by on-the-spot payment or as part of their booking. For completely hands-off management, simply allow users to activate outlets for a fee. Or, add booked campers as authorized users to enable usage on arrival.

Simply install the hardware, and use our management portal to make your outlets work according to your rules. Aminiti requires no infrastructure — you get to remotely manage every aspect of how your outlets get used, with no need for a network connection to keep them operating.

1

Install an Aminiti device in-line with each outlet you wish to protect.

2

Use the Aminiti web app to create QR signage to enable users to activate the outlet. (Your users can still use the Aminiti app to activate the outlet without a QR code.)

3

Configure each outlet for Billing. Set the price, either by unit of time or per session. Choose whether to collect sales tax on top of billed amounts.

*Billing functionality requires pre-approval. Contact us for access.

Extras

Aminiti offers many other features that help manage campsite outlets. Here are just a few:

  • Restrict access to certain users. Instead of requiring on-site payment, register users by e-mail when they book.

  • Enable free access for staff or other approved users.

  • Enable passcode access for a user group. This will allow you to share a passcode with registered campers or users who may not wish to sign up for an account. Anybody you share the passcode with will have access until you revoke it.

  • Set time limits, to reduce energy costs.

  • Set operating hours so that the outlet can only be activated during certain times.

  • Collect payment for public access to an outlet, while still allowing free access for staff and regular users.

Installation Methods

Aminiti is flexible, and there are several ways to integrate our hardware with your outlets. Here are just a few:

Add an Aminiti Q16 inline relay. For tamper-resistance, use a safety-certified, lockable in-use cover to fully enclose the Q16 and a short, right-angle extension cord to the exterior of the cover. The outlet remains accessible but protected, requiring no rewiring.

Control water access by adding a solenoid valve in-line with the campsite water supply. Activate it using an Aminiti S16 relay in an enclosure near the water pedestal.

Use the Aminiti S16 inline relay. Add a junction box to enclose the S16 device if existing boxes are not suitable. For 50A split-phase hook-ups, use the Aminiti S16 to control a contactor relay.
